Golconda Sultanate

The Golconda Sultanate was an early modern sultanate located in the southeastern Deccan, ruled by the Qutb Shahi dynasty. One of the five Deccan sultanates, it was established in 1518 by Quli Qutb Shah, a Shi'a Muslim of Turkoman origin.
