Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, retroactively referred to as the First Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, was a totalitarian Islamic state led by the Taliban that ruled most of Afghanistan from 1996 to 2001.
