Alexandre Yersin

Alexandre Émile John Yersin was a Swiss-French physician and bacteriologist. He is remembered for his work as a pioneer in microbiology and immunology. Yersin is the co-discoverer of both the Diphtheria and Tetanus toxins and of the bacillus responsible for the bubonic plague.
