August Beer
August Beer was a German physicist, chemist, and mathematician of Jewish descent. Beer published a paper in the field of spectroscopy on the absorption of red light in colored aqueous solutions of various salts, which is extended on the work from Pierre Bouguer's and Johann Heinrich Lambert's absorption laws.
