Giovanni Alfonso Borelli

Giovanni Alfonso Borelli was an Italian physiologist, physicist, and mathematician who is often described as the father of biomechanics. He contributed to the modern principle of scientific investigation by continuing Galileo's practice of testing hypotheses against observation.
