Jerzy Neyman

Jerzy Spława-Neyman was a Polish mathematician and statistician. He made major contributions to the development of modern statistical theory. Neyman introduced the modern concept of a confidence interval into statistical hypothesis testing and, with Egon Pearson, revised Ronald Fisher's null hypothesis testing.
