Lars Ahlfors

Lars Valerian Ahlfors was a Finnish mathematician and the leading figure in complex analysis during the 20th century. He is remembered for his work on Riemann surfaces, quasiconformal mappings and Teichmüller spaces, and for his textbook on complex analysis.
