Sergei (Sergius) Nikolayevich Bulgakov was a Russian Orthodox theologian, priest, philosopher, and economist. As a priest, Bulgakov served as a spiritual father and confessor to Maria Skobtsova, who was canonized a saint by the Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in 2004.
